Focus on Matthew 8:26 while thinking about the word faith. What does it mean to have faith? What is the difference between little faith and big faith? Think about your life. Are you living as if you have little faith or big faith? What can you do to increase your faith?
In the Luke passage, the disciples ask Jesus to increase their faith. Jesus gives them two ways. Both ways involve telling them the truth. Yes, faith comes by hearing. And, the more you hear about God, the more you know about God. And, the more you know about God, the more your faith in God increases.
I really enjoyed reading some of your blog posts. The best part is that you summarize the scripture and then ask questions to make us apply it to our lives. This is a great idea for a blog and you are doing a great job. The only thing that would be good is if there was a way that you could put the scripture in the post if it wasn't too long in case people didn't have a bible to look at.

ReplyDeleteLike others have said, I love that you use The Bible as your main reference. That sounds like an obvious thing to do with a blog like this, but so often we find ourselves looking other places and forgetting to look directly to His word. Great work!
